The CityNeighborhoods Project got its start in 2014 on the streets and in the neighborhoods of Manhattan. After walking and photographing every neighborhood and all five boroughs of New York City in 2023, the project went international in 2024.

This website chronicles those explorations and photographs in both gallery and blog format.

In Spring 2026, CityNeighborhoods launched a second flagship site: CityNeighborhoods Paris - exploring Paris, one neighborhood at a time. Here, we took the methodology forged on the streets of New York City and adapted it to arrondissements, administrative quarters and conseils de quartier of Paris!
